In Memory of Kato Khandwala 1970 - 2018

The Sound Emporium lost treasured family member Kato Khandwala on April 25, 2018 in a motorcycle accident. He was at the studio for 6 weeks in June/July 2017 making the self-titled Pop Evil Record here with the band. We spent many hours with Kato and were able to not only work with him as a Producer/Engineer but get to know him on a human level. He was such a joy to work with and brought out the best in all those around him. His light will continue to shine brightly in the music he made and the love he shared with family and friends. Our deepest condolences go out to his Mom, daughters and beloved girlfriend, Shannon. You will always be Studio family, Kato. Until we meet again, my friend.

With Kato’s passing, his daughter, Paris, is now left without parents (her Mom passed away a few years ago). A gofundme has been set-up to help the family care for Paris in her parents absence, click here to donate. She is surrounded by much love and this fund will help everyone transition without Kato.
